Missions

Flood Buckets

We collect items during the year for packing Flood Buckets that are sent to United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR) to be distributed to areas in need during floods and natural disasters.

Health  & Hygiene Kits

Health and Hygiene Kits are another mission we do at Keezletown. These kits go the United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR) for distribution.

Backpack Project

Every week during the school year a group of dedicated people gather to put together food bags for school kids to take home so they can have meals on the weekends. Each week shopping is done to get the food.

Care Closet for High School

The local high school has a Care Closet for their students and we have joined up with them to supply the Care Closet with supplies for the school year.

Mission Central Children's Clothing Closet

All year long we collect and donate children's clothing, diapers, new mother and babies items, hats, gloves, mittens, and school supplies for Mission Central Clothing Closet. Some of our special services are Baby Shower for Jesus, Blue Jean Sunday, Undie Sunday, Hat & Mitten Tree (at Christmas time), Diaper Derby & Wipe Sunday, and Stuff the Bus Sunday.

Relay for Life

Each year the church has a team to help support the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life. We raise money by having a basket weaving class and donate items for the Relay for Life auction. Each year we have a special Service of Hope that honors people who have beat cancer or in memory for those who have lost their life to cancer. During this service we take up an offering for Relay for Life.

Massanutten Presbyterian Church Food Pantry

All year long we collect food for the local pantry. During the year we have several special services to help us collect the food. One is the Souper Bowl where we collect shelf stable food and decide who is going to win the Super Bowl. Another way is the World Cereals where we collect cereals and decide who is going to win the World Series. The bin that has the most food is the winner.

Kingsway Prison Ministry Apple Tree Project

At Christmas we pick an apple from the tree and bless a child with a Christmas gift. The Kingsway Prison Ministry partner with us to provide a gift for a child who's parent is incarcerated. These gifts are wrapped and given to the kids at Christmas. Twice a month we supply Kingsway Prison Ministry a meal.

Shoe Boxes

We put together Samartians Purse Operation Christmas Child Shoe Boxes each year. These boxes go around the world to bless children with a gift and to show the love of Jesus.

Open Doors Shelter Items

As a church we collect hygiene, food, and clothing items that the Open Doors Shelter for the homeless can distribute to their clients who need shelter for the night.
